How much is conflict costing your team right now? While workplace conflict is inevitable, we usually find ourselves either dwelling in it or avoiding it all together. On average, managers spend 25-40% of their time dealing with workplace conflict. If you’re like most people, you weren’t taught how to do conflict well – until now. The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Tammy Krings of The Conversations That Matter to our December 12 St. Paul PEN breakfast discussion: “Moving through Barriers: Knowing How to Have Productive Conflict to Give your Organization Space to Grow and Excel.” Facilitator Tammy Krings, The Conversations that Matter

At this hands-on learning breakfast, you’ll gain greater self-awareness about your natural, default modes in conflict and how to choose new, more productive ways to respond. We’ll also explore how to hold space and truly work with others when their emotions, fears, and unknowns take over during conflict. You’ll learn how to effectively respond to the uncomfortable and unavoidable challenges of workplace conflict – with more knowledge, skill, and technique.  Not only will you walk away with knowing WHY people respond the way they do in conflict, but also HOW to do conflict differently, better and well-equipped with new tools to build greater connection and meaning in your relationships.

* SPECIAL OFFER: Register by Monday, December 3rd to receive a complimentary, personalized Everything DiSC® Productive Conflict assessment that we will be using during this Breakfast (an $86 value!).

During this session, you will:

  • understand your emotional, default patterns when in conflict
  • gain self-awareness in how you tend to react and engage in Conflict
  • learn how to make conflict more productive by pausing, reframing and choosing a more productive response
  • practice difficult conversations using a new methodology — building from courage to connection.

Make time now to learn how to do conflict better and help your organization gain space to be more innovative and efficient.

The discussion is at Metro State University in the Student Center (details provided at registration). Continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 with the presentation from 8:00 to 9:30 am. No cost for members; $30 for non-members.
