Erode Toxic Behaviors. Reduce Drama. Increase Performance — May 8 St. Paul Breakfast

Registration is closed for this event
Business leaders: get ready for a ringside seat on Dr. Mitch Kusy’s co-researched national three-year study on how toxic personalities impact individual, team, and organizational performance. Results will astound you with Mitch’s hard-hitting data and solid evidence on how everyday civility is no longer a “nice to have.” Everyday civility means business. It has become the new “leadership frontier.”

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Mitch Kusy, a full professor in the Graduate School of Leadership & Change at Antioch University and a registered organization development consultant and keynote speaker to our May 8 St. Paul PEN breakfast discussion: “Erode Toxic Behaviors. Reduce Drama. Increase Performance.  Everyday civility’s time has come!”

Who are toxic people? “They are often known as narcissists, bullies, and clever chameleons who knock down, but kiss up,” says Mitch, author of his newly released book, “Why I Don’t Work Here Anymore: A Leader’s Guide to Offset the Financial and Emotional Costs of Toxic Employees.”  They shame, manipulate, and belittle in public and private as their modus operandi.  Leaders feel the angst they cause, but are often unaware of how prevalent they are or how much they cost — in terms of team performance and dollars!

In this session, you will learn what to do and what not to do in dealing with these Dr. Jekylls and Mr. Hydes — all based on solid evidence, not hearsay.  Mitch will help you engage proactive strategies to avoid hiring toxic bullies, as well as reactive strategies to successfully deal with them once they’re there. His strategies may surprise you because they are simple but based on the most cutting-edge research.

Mitch provides real how-to’s from all angles in how to establish cultures of everyday civility where no one gets away with bad behavior.  How does he do this?  By teaching how to rework your everyday practices of performance management, recruiting, exit interviews, team development, and more.  You will actually be able to calculate what toxic behaviors cost your organization in dollars!  Stay tuned! You likely have no idea how much they cost your organization!

Don't miss this stimulating conversation!
