Flexible Tools for Planning -- Dec 18 Twin Ports Breakfast

Registration is closed for this event
Over the past few years, the National Rural Health Resource Center has found great value in the use of two open-source business planning tools in its work with clients: The Product and Service Designer and the Business Planning Canvas. These tools provide a systematic method for gathering customer/client needs and designing products and services that meet these needs -- and can be adapted across a wide variety of situations. The unique value of these tools is that they can be used across industries, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and internal or external customers.

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Debra Laine, Senior Program Specialist, and Shannon Studden, Program Specialist, both of the National Rural Health Resource Center, to our Dec 18 TPPEN breakfast: “Flexible Tools for Planning: Business Model Canvas and Product & Service Designer.”

The Product and Service Designer (PSD) offers a step-by-step approach for identifying key customer or target market needs, engineering the right product or service from the bottom up, and developing key messages that resonate with the intended audience. The Business Model Canvas builds on the PSD by providing a framework for operationalizing discoveries that arise from Product and Service Designer work.  Through the use of this tool, a group can develop solid plans for addressing the strategic, marketing, collaborative and financial aspects of a product or project.

Debra and Shannon will provide an overview of both tools during this session.  These tools are a great follow up to last month’s discussion; "It’s All About the Customer: Insights to Drive Satisfaction” or for any organization interested in more effective planning!

The discussion will be hosted by the National Rural Health Resource Center; details after registration.  Continental breakfast will be served from 7:00 to 7:30 with the discussion from 7:30 to 8:30 am. No cost for members; $20 for non-members.
