The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, August 6: “Positive Change in Challenging Times: A Preview of PENworks 2020.” The discussion will feature several “mini-sessions” from PEN’s upcoming PENworks 2020 Conference, each offering one or two ways to immediately improve your organization’ (or team’s) performance.
Each speaker will have 10 minutes to share a method, tool, or best practice they have used during this challenging time. The agenda includes:
- Audrey Betcher, sharing how the Rochester Public Library is more deliberately focused on diversity, inclusion, and racial equity
- Dan Maus, sharing how General Mills is using more Rapid Planning to more rapidly set/adjust action plans
- Kim Nuckles (tentative), sharing how the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is using Baldrige and continuous improvement methods to improve process performance and optimize resources
- JoAnn Sternke (tentative) of Studer Education (formerly of Baldrige-winning Pewaukee Schools), sharing how leaders can lead with resiliency in turbulent times
The four speakers represent all sizes and types of organizations – a large manufacturer, a medium sized state agency, a small nonprofit, and K12 education. You will leave with at least four actionable insights that you can begin to use immediately to improve performance during challenging times. And you’ll also get a sneak preview of four (of the 23!) case studies featured at PENworks 2020. PEN’s conference is online September 23, with the theme of MISSION POSSIBLE: Positive Change in Challenging Times. Early bird ends this Friday; more information here.
The discussion will be a live Zoom Webinar Thursday, August 6 from 8:00-9:00 CT. Grab your coffee and join us for a rich discussion. Free for PEN members; $20 for non-member guests.
