The amount of uncertainty we all face these days as leaders and professionals is high and increasing: will we head into a recession or have a "soft landing" (and what impact will the economy have on my budget)? When will staffing and talent shortages moderate? How will next year's election cycle impact my organization or business? Will inflation continue to moderate?  How will the drivers of employee engagement continue to shift (including continued shifts in work environments, employee benefits and services). Today, leaders face an increasing amount of ambiguity -- both in terms of how they lead people as well as how they navigate an uncertain economy.  So how do they most effectively balance short- and long-term priorities while managing risk, maintaining employee morale and resilience, and managing tightening budgetary environment?

The Performance Excellence Network – in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence – is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, August 24: “Leading through Uncertainty.”  The discussion will feature two speakers, one focusing on the leadership aspect of change & uncertainty and the other on the financial/budgetary aspect:

  • Danielle Galmore, North Carolina-based Touchpoint Wines and founder, Questa Consulting will explore how leaders can lead through living their values; will share some best practices in effective communication; and will explore how leaders should tap into networks to
  • Joe Lanz, founder/owner Analytics-Driven Insights (and fractional CFO, adjunct faculty at University of St. Thomas) will explore the financial uncertainty we currently face -- how we can learn to "play the accordion," navigating the cycles of economic expansion and contraction and how leaders can best manage cash, budget, and financials through today's uncertain economic times

Both speakers will share their insights in leading through uncertainty -- Danielle through the human side of change and Joe the financial side -- followed by Q&A and discussion.  Come explore insights on how to better lead through today's uncertain environment.
