There’s a lot going on these days. A lot. Businesses and organizations are facing increasing uncertainty and a growing number of complex challenges (such as a tightening economy, the risks & opportunities brought on by AI, socio-political uncertainty, and many others). So as we begin a new year – and considering the fact that these challenges will continue (as well as new ones emerge) – we’ll reflect on good and best practices for leaders to navigate today’s ever-shifting environment.

The Performance Excellence Network — in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence and the Iowa Quality Center and in collaboration with the Greater Rochester Quality Council — is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, January 22: “Leadership Best Practices in 2026: A Panel Discussion.”  The discussion will feature a panel of leaders from different types of organizations:

  • Dr. Connie Delaney, Dean, University of Minnesota School of Nursing
  • Dr. Myra Henry, President and CEO of the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County
  • Marshall Smith, CEO, State of Minnesota Direct Care & Treatment
  • Jenny Starck, Superintendent (ret), Cadott Community School DIstrict

The discussion will explore ways to navigate today’s environment, focusing on:

  • best practices communication, accountability, succession planning
  • best practices in how to leverage artificial intelligence to improve productivity and solve complex challenges
  • best practices in building organizational and personal resilience
  • best practices in managing the pace of change
  • and many others!

As leaders and professionals, we all want to remain effective in an ever-changing environment.  And we could all stand to learn from each other to navigate these challenging times. Explore how to sustain your organization and how to ensure your own resiliency through what likely is a period of constant change and shifting challenges.

This session is Thursday, January 22 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional speed networking and mingling 7:45-8:00), using Zoom MEETING.  Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion.  Free for PEN/WCPE/IQC members; $20 for non-members.
