The Change Lab: 5 Proven Practices with No Fluff | IN PERSON WORKSHOP + VIRTUAL FOLLOW UP WORKSHOP

The Change Lab: 5 Proven Practices with No Fluff | IN PERSON WORKSHOP + VIRTUAL FOLLOW UP WORKSHOP

Research is clear: most leaders drive change with a shaky blend of gut instinct and fragmented logic. This Change Lab is your reset button. The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to host a special full-day program comprised of two half-day venues—IN PERSON and VIRTUAL workshop: “The Change Lab: 5 Proven Practices with No Fluff.” The in-person session is Wednesday, July 22nd from 8:30am-12:00pm CT at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN and the follow-up, virtual session will be on August 28th from 8:30am-12pm via Zoom. Because the follow-up session is built on the in-person experience, attendance at the in-person session is required to attend the follow-up virtual session. Both sessions will be facilitated by change experts Dr. Mitch Kusy and Dr. Gilles Benoit. Grounded in cutting-edge research on what drives successful change, the facilitators will reveal how AI can dramatically force-multiply the reach, speed, and effectiveness of change initiatives - propelling organizations beyond incremental improvements and into a new era of transformational impact

The 1/2 Day In-Person Change Lab Workshop. Powered by 5 proven methods from Dr. Mitch Kusy’s and Dr. Gilles Benoit’s groundbreaking new book, The Playbook for Leading Change: Proven Strategies for Success, this immersive experience puts science-based leadership into action. You’ll work in small teams to apply 5 proven strategies to your change challenge keeping you up at night. Expect rigor, not fluff. Action, not theory. With a bold twist: AI-backed insights to accelerate clarity and sharpen decision-making. Proven practical tools to lead change with speed, precision, and unstoppable impact. During this Change Lab, each participant will zero in on one high-impact challenge from these four that matter:

  • Organizational transitions that don’t move forward because they stall or lack structure.
  • Team systems that get mired in status quo thinking and patterns of learned apathy.
  • Workplace cultures that erode top performance and weaken positive team norms.
  • Strategic planning that bypasses real-time alignment and wider organizational swaths.

The facilitators will move fluidly between small-group deep dive challenges and big-group insight sharing and synthesis.

The 1/2 Day Virtual Follow-Up Experience. This Change Lab follow-up experience is more than a workshop—it’s a hands-on, action-driven experience based on the strategies that were created in the in-person workshop. Approximately 30 to 45 days after the in-person workshop, participants reconvene virtually to share their wins, unpack the obstacles they encountered, and explore how they adapted and overcame challenges along the way. This powerful follow-up transforms the Change Lab into a full-circle journey: from design and development to implementation and meaningful assessment. The result is not just ideas on paper, but lasting change powered by reflection, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Change Lab participants will receive a complimentary copy of The Playbook for Leading Change, used as a hands-on workbook tailored to both individual and group needs throughout the change lab.

Because the follow-up session is designed to build on the in-person experience, attendance at the in-person session is required to participate in the virtual session. If you’re not able to attend the virtual follow-up, you’re still welcome to join us for the in-person session—the registration fee remains the same.

Investment is $495 for members, $695 for non-members. Light snacks and coffee are included for the in-person session. The virtual session will be hosted on zoom.
