Employee Engagement: We Know It’s Important. But HOW Do We Do It? -- April 24 Prior Lake Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
We often confuse employee engagement with employee satisfaction.  The Baldrige Criteria defines engagement as “the extent of workforce commitment, both emotional and intellectual, to accomplishing the work, mission and vision of the organization.”  It’s vital that employees feel this sense of commitment to accomplishing the mission.  Yet did you know that one of the biggest influencers of employee engagement is the leader him- or herself?  It’s true.  Gallup reports in a 2015 study that managers account for at least 70% of the variance in employee engagement.  So…we know leaders are key in an employee’s engagement, but what do we do to take action and truly ENGAGE with our people?

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to announce a powerful half-day workshop: Employee Engagement: We Know It’s Important -- Category 5 Says So!  But HOW Do We Do It? , April 24 in Prior Lake, MN.  This is a post-conference workshop after the PENworks 2020 conference, but it is open to anyone (you don't have to have attended the conference to benefit from improving your team's engagement!).  It will be facilitated by Dr. JoAnn Sternke, senior director & coach at Studer Education and former Superintendent of Baldrige-winning Pewaukee Public Schools.

In this interactive session complete with role playing and small group discussion (and humor), you will learn four key drivers of employee engagement and five tried and tested Studer Education℠ employee engagement strategies to build trust and engagement with your employees.  For example, you’ll learn how to re-recruit your high performing employees and how to build relationships with your new employees with 30- and 90-Day New Employee Conversations.

If you want to leave with easy-to-use strategies to employ tomorrow, this is a session you will enjoy.  You’ll get a big picture of employee engagement complete with a tool kit of five proven employee engagement strategies.

Session Goals:

  • Participants will be able to identify four key drivers of employee engagement.
  • Participants will learn 5 strategies to build employee engagement that align with the four key drivers.
