Best Practices in Organizational Resilience, DEI, Digitization -- Mar 4 Online PEN Discussion

Registration is closed for this event
For nearly 35 years, the Baldrige Framework has evolved to reflect the drivers of organizational excellence.  In fact, every two years, the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence are revised to reflect the "leading edge of validated leadership and performance practices."  As such, the Framework represents what the highest performing organizations in the country are doing to achieve and sustain great results, serving as a yardstick for all other organizations to gauge the strength of their processes -- an evidence-based benchmark, helping leaders from all sizes and types of organizations identify & prioritize improvement opportunities so that they focus their energy and precious resources on improving the "right things." The 2021-22 Baldrige Framework was just released last month and key changes are focused on organizational resilience (agility); the benefits of diversity, equity and inclusion; and the ongoing digitization of nearly all aspects of organizational operations.

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, March 4: “Best Practices in Organizational Resilience, DEI, Digitization.”  This will be a “speakerless” discussion that consists of three “lightening rounds” of self-moderated sharing and learning from each other!

The three topics are the three main areas of change/focus in the new 2021 Baldrige Framework:

  1. Resilience -- how organizations are systematically anticipating, preparing for, and recovering from disasters, emergencies, and other disruptions. Resilience includes the agility to modify plans, processes, and relationships whenever circumstances warrant.
  2. Equity & inclusion -- how organizations capitalize on the diverse backgrounds and characteristics, knowledge, skills, creativity, and motivation of people.
  3. Digitization -- sometimes called the "fourth industrial revolution," how organizations capitalize on the data-enhanced economy, using data analytics, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, cloud operations, large dataset-enabled business and process modeling ("Big Data"), enhanced automation, and/or other "smart" technologies to make decisions, enable operations, and create value for customers and stakeholders.

PEN will provide a simple process to help facilitate the dialogue, but largely the session will be organic, allowing participants to contribute and connect in whatever way is meaningful to them.  Each discussion topic will last approximately 12 minutes, providing an opportunity to learn from others in and outside your industry, sharing and learning methods, tools, and best practices in those three topic areas.

The discussion will provide an opportunity for sharing, learning, networking (and all-important professional connection).

The discussion will be a live Zoom Meeting (so you can see faces, talk and interact live!) Thursday, March 4 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional speed networking 7:45-8:00).  Grab your coffee and join us for a rich discussion.  Free for PEN members; $20 for non-member guests.
