A business’s culture can be the biggest competitive advantage it has. A culture of excellence can empower, focus, and engage employees as well as help build relationships with suppliers and engage the community in the success of the organization. Encouraging a culture of excellence is not just for large businesses and corporations; in fact, culture starts to develop the moment there is more than one person involved.
Sandi Larson, UMD CED
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to host Sandi Larson of UMD’s Center for Economic Development to our March 21 TPPEN breakfast discussion: “Encouraging a Culture of Excellence in (Small) Business.”
Sandi Larson will share her UMD Master’s of Liberal Studies Plan B project research, which explores the importance of organizational culture – why it’s critical in the early stages of a business startup, and how a business owner (or any leader in any organization) can encourage a culture of excellence.
The discussion will be at CED downtown Duluth. Continental breakfast will be served from 7:00 to 7:30 with the discussion from 7:30 to 8:30 am. No cost for members; $20 for non-members.
