Stress Resiliency -- Apr 23 Half-Day VIRTUAL Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
Today -- more than ever -- we are stressed.  The impact that COVID-19 is now having on our professional lives, our families, and our overall health and well-being is significant and growing.  As leaders, professionals, and individuals we need to navigate through this new crisis, while maintaining effectiveness at work and at home.

The Performance Excellence Network — in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence and the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence is pleased to announce a special half-day online (interactive video) workshop the morning of April 23: “Stress Resiliency.”  The workshop will be facilitated by Brianna Harrington of Seek United.  The workshop will be fully online, but still highly interactive.

Our personal and professional lives are intertwined.  Even before the coronavirus crisis, 83% of American's suffered from work-related stress. Stress can significantly impact our ability to make strategic decisions at work and thoughtful decisions about our health and wellbeing. Being able to manage your stress sometimes is the difference between success and failure, both in our professional and personal lives.

On a plane, there's a reason they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first. If you don't care for yourself first, how can you help anyone else?  Yet, most of us act as if taking care of ourselves on a daily basis is selfish. We act as if our worth is only measured in what we believe to be "productive" and self-care isn't prioritized. We work long hours to "get more done", we skip lunch to make sure our group project is near perfect, we choose not to exercise because it means we "won't be there for our families".

Overtime, these tiny choices add up. They make us less resilient to stress and make it more difficult to show up as our best selves. When we make time to fill our own proverbial punch bowl, through self-care, we have more energy, more cognitive control, and are more present, focused, and productive. We make better decisions, faster, we avoid lifestyle diseases and we become more resilient to big and small stressors in our lives.

Self-care isn't selfish. It helps us show up as the best version of ourselves, for our families, the companies we work for, and our shared communities. It's essential for thriving in all aspects of our lives.

In this 3+ hour workshop, Brianna will share the top 10 ways to increase your stress resiliency through self-care, how to shift your habits by thinking small, and sample daily practices that are easy-to-implement for you and your organization.  You'll leave with a clear road-map to shift habits to help you thrive — both on and off the clock.

Workshop is April 23 from 8:00-11:30 online.  Investment $200 for PEN members and customers of WCPE and TNCPE ($175 for groups of 3-4 registering together, $150 for groups of 5+ registering together), $400 for non-members or no affiliation with the three hosting organizations.

During these extraordinary times of stress, learn ways for you, your team, and your organization to become more resilient.
